UMKC Law Team, Coached by Philip Krause, Wins 2015 IP LawMeet National Championship

A team of third year law students, Stephen Krogmeier, Joshua Cervantes and Tariq Adawi, from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, has won the National Championship of the 2015 IP LawMeet competition. The team was coached by Krause Law’s founding member Philip Krause–this is the fourth team coached by Philip and his second consecutive national championship team.

The competition involved a written component and a live negotiating component. For the championship round, negotiations were conducted via video link from the UMKC law school court room to a law firm conference room in Philadelphia, and the negotiations where conducted against a panel of judges drawn from practicing intellectual property lawyers from the Philadelphia area.
