Art Meets Law

Sauer Gallery @ Krause Law, Open Gallery October 18, 2019, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

I like to think of my law practice as my own form of art.  Perhaps that’s an abstraction, or even a self-serving way to think of my work.  Yet, when I complete a complex document or close a significant transaction, I believe a level of creativity coupled with experience helps to make it something unique.  It’s my work product, my professional art.

Similarly, I work with many creative clients, whose work product produces technology or other intellectual property, which forms the platform for a significant business opportunity.  Their creative output, when properly structured and capitalized, has the potential for creating wealth for the creative owners.

Krause Law has a long history of connecting with the Arts Community of Kansas City.  Many other lawyers do the same and more.  It’s an example of this interconnectivity of art and law.  For example, we are long-time supporters of the Harriman Jewell Series of William Jewell College, and helped to underwrite a performance in their 2018-2019 series by violinist Bella Hristova performing with the Symphony Orchestra of the Youth Symphony of Kansas City.

This year we have partnered with artist Elisabeth Sauer to create the Sauer Gallery @ Krause Law.  Elisabeth is a talented local artist who maintains her studio in the Livestock Exchange Building.  She is a painter primarily of landscapes as well as abstract and expressionistic work.  Since we opened the gallery last spring, we have been showing more than two dozen of Elisabeth’s paintings throughout the Krause Law offices, in Suite 460 of the Livestock Exchange Building.  It’s really something special to see!  And it’s something we really want to share.

Artist Elisabeth Sauer and Krause Law LLC will host a joint opening of the Sauer Gallery @ Krause Law, October 18, 2019, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., as a part of the biannual “Open Studios” event for the entire Livestock Exchange Building when studios and galleries throughout the building are open to the public.   Everyone is invited to tour the Krause Law suite to see the collection of Elisabeth’s amazing paintings.  Elisabeth will be present to introduce her paintings and talk about her art.

Please join us for this special evening!  Visit all the studios and galleries during this unique Open Studios event, which typically lasts 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., and save plenty of time for the Sauer Gallery @ Krause Law.  You might just discover some art that wants to go home to live with you.
